Strengthening Assessments and Assigning Grades

The Center for Teaching, Learning, & Outreach invites you to a faculty discussion on Strengthening Assessments and Assigning Grades. We will meet in CSS 360 (third floor of the CSS building on Holliston) on Tuesday, Sept. 15 from 3-4:30pm. We'll discuss:

• Strategies for selecting the right assessments (take home/seated/oral exams, projects, portfolios, etc.) for your course.
• Best practices for various assessment strategies
• Approaches to grading, both traditional and non-traditional
• Best practices for assigning and communicating grades and grading approaches
