Navigating In-Person Assessments as a TA
With recent changes to grading and assessment policies, many courses are returning to in-person exams and assessments. TAs play a key role in ensuring these assessments run smoothly and support student success. This workshop covers the essentials of in-person assessment, including exam logistics (room reservations, printing, and accommodations), principles for creating clear and equitable exam questions, and strategies for helping students prepare.
You'll also learn how to run effective review sessions and support students experiencing test anxiety. Participants will leave with CTLO's in-person assessment checklist and practical tools they can apply in their courses right away.
