Haowen Zhou Awarded SPIE Optics and Photonics Scholarship

Haowen Zhou, a PhD candidate working in the Biophotonics Laboratory of Changhuei Yang, Thomas G. Myers Professor of Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering, and Medical Engineering; Investigator, Heritage Medical Research Institute, has been awarded a 2024 Optics and Photonics Scholarship from the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE) for potential contributions to optics, photonics, or a related field.

Zhou's research research interests include imaging system development for biomedical applications, neural fields for microscopic image reconstruction, and deep learning integrated with microscope co-designs for digital pathology.
