Haowen Zhou Receives the 2026 Jakob van Zyl Predoctoral Research Award

Haowen Zhou, an Electrical Engineering graduate student advised by Changhuei Yang, Thomas G. Myers Professor of Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering, and Medical Engineering; Investigator, Heritage Medical Research Institute; Executive Officer for Electrical Engineering, has received the 2026 Jakob van Zyl Predoctoral Research Award. This research award has been made possible through generous donations in memory of distinguished EE alum, Dr Jakob van Zyl, who led significant research efforts at JPL and also taught classes at Caltech for many years.
